Cold Audit File Reviews
Cold file reviews are conducted after the audit report has been signed off. They may be necessary as a result of a regulatory visit to help monitor the quality of audit work across the firm or in assisting you in compliance with ISQM1. For sole practitioners, ISQM1 makes external cold file reviews compulsory every three years.
We can ensure that previous recommendations and other issues pertaining to the client have been adequately dealt with. Cold reviews can also be useful in the pre-planning for the following year, to ensure that any potential cost savings are identified and utilised.
Book our off site service by sending in your audit files by courier or electronically. Once the review has taken place you will receive a comprehensive written report of action points to take into account in future audits.
Cold File Reviews may also be conducted on site if requested. This service requires prior arrangement and includes a face to face debrief at the end of the review and a full report subsequently.
