This audit programme which is specifically for audit clients in the Republic of Ireland, was first introduced in 2002 and has evolved over the last 25 years to the current Version 10A. During its life span it has been continually updated and improved tp keep pace with the latest (Republic of Ireland) and Irish GAAP, changes in best practice and regulatory guidance and feedback from practitioners.
We have extensive experience in assisting firms to improve and maintain standards, as well as extensive experience in the development of user friendly work programmes and supporting documentation and tools. These skills were used to develop an audit programme in compliance with the latest International Standards of Auditing (Republic of Ireland). The programme is for those clients applying full ISAs. It is not suitable for assignments conducted under the ISA for LCE: a standard for audits of less complex entities.

The programmes can be printed off for manual completion or they can be easily completed on screen using the functions within Microsoft Word to make them easily navigable.
The latest version V10A has been updated in January 2025 for ISA 600 Special considerations – Audits of Group Financial Statements (including the work of component auditors).

The work programme contains 2 distinct programmes one for less complex company audits and one for more complex company audits. Both variants include schedules for a permanent audit file and a current audit file along with detailed guidance notes.
The Permanent Audit File contains a detailed planning section including schedules for business details, systems and controls, acceptance procedures and statutory information. The systems and controls section covers detailed controls assessments and risk assessments.
The Current Audit File includes audit planning and audit completion sections followed by detailed schedules for all statement of financial position and income and expenditure categories from property, plant and equipment to group accounts and consolidation.The planning section covers appointment and reappointment, risk assessment, materiality and performance materiality and analytical review.
