Description
This audit programme, which is specifically for audit clients in the UK, was first introduced in 2002 and has evolved over the last 20 plus years to the current Version 10A. During its life span it has been continually updated and improved to keep pace with with the latest ISAs and accounting standards, changes in best practice and regulatory guidance and feedback from practitioners.
We have extensive experience in assisting firms to improve and maintain standards of audit compliance, as well as extensive experience in the development of user friendly work programmes and supporting documentation and tools. These skills were used to develop an audit programme in compliance with the latest International Standards of Auditing (UK). The Audit Programme can be separated so that it can be used for both small and larger clients according to your requirements. The programme is for those clients applying full ISAs (UK). It is not suitable for assignments conducted under the ISA for LCE: a standard for audits of less complex entities.
Key features of the programme include:
- Separate permanent file – enabling you to demonstrate your understanding of the client’s business.
- Detailed planning section – allowing you to identify risk areas and determine the best approach.
- Detailed internal control checklists and Use of IT checklists.
- A bank of audit tests suitable for all key areas and financial statement assertions.
- Guidance notes to help in the completion of the programme.
The programmes can be printed off for manual completion or they can be easily completed on screen using the functions within Microsoft Word to make them easily navigable.
The latest version V10A has been updated in January 2025 for ISA (UK) 600 Special considerations – Audits of Group Financial Statements (including the work of component auditors) and Revised FRC Ethical Standard 2024.
