New rules for producing an accountants report under the Solicitors Regulation Authority’s (SRA) Accounts Rules became effective from 25 November 2019. The programme has been fully updated to reflect the new requirements.

You have the option of completing the work using the traditional method of completing audit programmes and then using your own schedules to evidence that work, or you can complete programmes and working papers on screen. This latter method utilises excel, and can be used to produce a paperless file.

The programme contains:

• Guidance notes;
• Detailed excel work programme incorporating standard working papers;
• Detailed word work programme incorporating standard working papers; and
• Proforma letter of representation.
